AR Accelerated Reader Parent Letter EDITABLE
This editable parent letter is a great way to introduce the Accelerated Reader (AR) program and explain what it is all about! It has some basic information, a place to list the child's colors (or reading levels) and some questions they can use at home to help their child continue to grow in their reading ability. I send a copy home and also include one in a sheet protector in the child's AR Folder. It would also make a great addition to Parent Teacher Conferences.

Accelerated Reader Parent Letters
This letter is meant to go home multiple times a trimester to update parents on their students' progress through Accelerated Reader. Both the parents and students sign the bottom to indicate they are aware of the progress. Included in each letter is the student's STAR reading range, the percent towards their personal goal, the percent of how far through the trimester it is, average percent correct on quizzes, and average reading level. Accelerated Reader Goal Tracker for Parents and Students
Each quarter my students receive individualized Accelerated Reader goals. In order to get them pumped up, I give them a sheet with their outlined specific goals at the beginning of the quarter.
Each quarter they have an ability to earn individualized awards, and they can also work together to reach a class goal.
The student, teacher, and parent are required to sign off on this goal. Make a copy when it is returned for them to keep at home or school.
